The film's softheartedness proves to be a fairly adequate delivery mechanism for some tough and tender observations about modern queerness.

This is a lively, resourceful and tightly paced enterprise, drawing uniformly good performances from well-cast actors.

Cute, Funny, and Brilliant.

I saw Alex Strangelove on Netflix (NZ) and absolutely loved it. Alex (Daniel Doheny) and Elliot (Antonio Marziale) were brilliant actors (and cute!). It had a few "Love, Simon" vibes here and there, and there were many funny scenes (one in particular, involving a frog and hallucinations - including a talking water hose). Loved it so much I want to get it on DVD.
